October, the Month of Music

During the month of October our weekends were spent attending music events.

The first was an orchestra concert David plays in. The conductor was premiering a piece he had written. It was very interesting. The whole concert was very good.

The next concert was the Wind Symphony Daniel is in at school. His Grandma B attended with us. They had a guest conductor and all the music performed was works this man had composed. It was a very good concert.

The next day, the boys and I went to Grandma D's to surprise her for her birthday. We did surprise her! My brother and his wife was there also. It was great to hang out and talk and to celebrate the birthday.

The last musical event was a stage production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. David played in the pit orchestra for this. It was well done. I had not seen the stage version before and it was really well done.

This brings us to November. November brings Reformation Day, our anniversary, Daniel's birthday and Thanksgiving. It promises to be a great month.
