Sin & Forgiveness -- Where is the Forgiveness

We see and hear about sin around us constantly. We are sinners ourselves. We have seen many people drop out of politics due to sinning. Some get to stay in their posts, others are dragged through the mud and yet others drop from public life entirely. Why is that? I know that sin is sin and that maybe someone needs to step out of the limelight when sins are brought to light, yet, why don't we let them step out briefly to take care of the issues and then return to their post? We see this in our everyday personal lives of those who are not public people too. People gossip about what is happening and people feel they need to hide. Yet, doesn't Jesus tell us in John 8:7 "And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, h“Let him who is without sin among you ibe the first to throw a stone at her.” ESV We are all sinful and many times, we ourselves can say, "there, but for the grace of God, go I." Yes, we may not have done some of the things of others, yet, can we really say that we would NEVER do THAT? We like to think that we are better and would never do THAT. Yet, we don't know their situation and why they did THAT do we? To them, it may make perfect sense while it makes no sense to us. What we need to be doing is to help people obtain whatever help they need. Whether it be medical and/or pastoral help. Encourage them to talk with their Pastor and to confess their sin receiving God's forgiveness. Let US forgive those who have sinned. Wouldn't we want that to be the way we are treated if we sin? So let's pray for these people and remember Jesus' words in John 8. Jesus also tells those He heals that "their sins are forgiven" and to "go and sin no more." We should all follow Jesus example when it comes to forgiveness.
