@%$#&^

Ok, I don't do this very often, but this got to me. Seems NBC has refused to air some ads by a group called Freedom's Watch encouraging people to thank the troops. Look at this story and look at the ads and decide. NBC ad story. There are links in the story for both ads and to the Freedom's Watch website. At Freedom's Watch, there is a petition asking NBC to air the ads. While you are there, there is a place to sign your thank the troops. If you think they should reconsider the airing of these ads, you can email dax.tejera@nbc.com

They say the organization "encourage political action and other activities. Ok, we have all seen ads for moveon.org as well as ads for political candidates as well as some others. Don't they encourage "political action and other activities?"

I don't care what you think about the war or if you think we should be there or not, this is about thanking our troops who serve all over the world. People who signed up to serve our country and are doing their jobs. Some of these men and women don't get mail from people at home and then to have our main stream media say they don't want ads that promote thanking out troops. How does that make these Soldiers feel? The way things are going, our young men and women are going to be finding themselves coming home to treatment like they did after the Vietnam War. So far, they are receiving more thanks than not, but it won't take much for this to change.

Ok, I am getting off of my soapbox.
